How To Train Your Crazy Heart Bounty Hunter Repo Men who’s Ghost Writer is in the Hot Tub Time Machine.

03-22-10 Talk like William Shatner Day.

On this day ( March 22nd 2010 it was International Talk Like William Shatner day. If you need a lesson go here :

Lets give it up for this Canadian wonder.

So on this day I also had scheduled one of my movie marathons at my favorite AMC Theater. I scheduled and early start too, at 10am. I was thinking of getting in 3 to 5 movies today. Well that didn’t happen. I got my movie schedule off of another movie website this time around cause for some reason the yahoo movie site didn’t update their new weeks schedule at my favorite theater. The first movie I had scheduled to see was Diary of a Wimpy Kid at 10am. However when I got to the theater the movie time didn’t exist and this threw my planned movie schedule out the window.

That’s OK, I can adapt and conquer. I killed an hour at the Target and Best Buy stores across the street. Then I went to see The Bounty Hunter that starred Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler. I liked this movie. Mostly because I’ve always liked Jennifer Anniston. Gerard was good too. I like the fact he can pull off funny and kick ass roles well. Towards the end of the movie I got a little surprise visit from Jane. I told my girlfriend my movie schedule prior to finding out one of the movie show time didn’t exist. She wanted to surprise me but was thrown off when I wasn’t in the theater she expected.

Jane joined me for the next movie on my list Repo Men starring Jude Law and Forest Whitaker . I liked the concept of this movie, In the future a corrupt corporation selling high interest replacement organs and sending “Repo Men” to retrieve their unpaid for property. My only warning for this film is if you’re squeamish about “knife play” which involves cutting, stabbing, puncturing, bleeding etc. This movie is not for you. After the movie, Jane had to take off to get back home in time to get her daughter off to bed. Instead of finishing my movie marathon I decided to surprise Jane and take her to dinner. The dinner was a great way to hang out and just talk about us. She really appreciated it, which meant allot to me.

Today I had and early shift at work which means I was off at 12:30pm. I wanted to finish my movie marathon sort of speak from a couple of days ago. Decided to go to another theater this time around for a couple a reasons. First off, I chose a Regal theater that was closer to work. I chose this theater cause it was playing two movies I wanted to see that were not playing at my regular AMC Theater.

The first movie I saw I was very excited about and wanted to see since the Acadamy Award that went to Jeff Bridges for his lead actor role in Crazy Heart . I’m a big Jeff Bridges fan. I first remember him in TRON and his happy he reprises his role in the upcoming sequel in Tron Legacy .  In Crazy Heart Jeff plays an ageing alcoholic washed up country star. This movie was great. Jeff earning his Oscar award with this roll. This movie a had great supporting cast with Maggie Gyllenhaal, Robert Duvall and a great small role by Colin Farrell. The music was great, and I’m glad it was recognized by Oscar wins too. After Crazy Heart I had an hour to kill before the next movie in my sites.

I was tired from my early morning shift. So I decided to take a nap. This was a good way to kill time instead of going into the bathroom and taking a fake dump. Speaking of, I’m writing this paragraph while I’m on the toilet. I know, gross huh? Yeah well I write where I can write. It’s either this or a magazine, so suck it. Don’t worry I’ll wash my hands. Anyways I digress, again. I decided to take a nap in the theater showing Avatar. I figured Avatar is so long that I’m sure it would be playing during my “kill time”. It was in a theater in the farthest corner of the movie complex. When I went in, there was no one in there. The movie was about 10 minutes in. I went o the back row slouched in and shut my eyes. About 45 min later and a quick Avatar blue boobie shot I was up from my movie nap. Onto the next show. By the way I’m getting off the toilet now as I’m writing this sentence.

The next movie I went to see was The Ghost Writer starring Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan. This move had a great cast. I remember really liking the trailer for this movie I saw a while back. The critics hailed this movie as an awesome thriller etc. I liked the plot of this movie. However my main problem with this flick was that it took too long to set up. There was too much screen time showing people “getting to places” and “looking at places”. This movie was just over two hours. It could have been fine at about an hour an a half or so. Needless to say I was disappointed in this film. I didn’t like the ending either. As the credits started to roll I found out the movie was directed by Roman Polanski who I think is still being held by authorities in Switzerland or someplace by that “incident” back in the 70’s that caused him to flee the USA and take up exile in France back in the 80’s. Of his movies I have seen him direct in, my favorite was Frantic starring Harrison Ford.

 03-25-10 KAD day.

Today March 25th is KAD, (Kevin Appreciation Day). I’ve been celebrating this day since 1990. I think you all should pick your own celebration day around 6 months after your own birthday. Remind yourself how much you rock and treat yourself on that day. Until then, lets give it up for me! This was my Facebook post. It was fun to see the many replies I got about this subject. One of the post came from Jane who said: “someone should give you a trophy :-)” . Another reply from a FB friend said: why don’t you give it to him :). Well Jane already had given me a cool trophy celebrating KAD which meant allot to me. The trophy validated this day for me. Thanks Jane. A couple of othet cool replies I got on this Face Book post wereL ‘hey Kev! – what an awesome idea – I’m gonna do it! And to you on this KAD – rock on!!” , “Werido . . . Really, ironically, I remember this when you said something about it a LOOOOOOOOOONG time ago” and “Only you, Kevin, only you.”

Today March 26th 2010 was a Friday. New Movie Day, New Movie Day! I hadn’t thought I might actually go to a movie today. I had the day off and was looking forward to it cause I was spending time with Jane in the morning. She had to get her car worked on so I met up with her at 8am at her mechanics to pick her up while her car got serviced. We went out for breakfast, the back to her place for a while then back to the mechanics to pick up her car. Then I followed her to pick up her daughter at school. It was very cute Jane’s daughter (who is 4 years old) was surprised to see me came over and gave me a hug and a sweet kiss on the cheek. How cute is that? We went back to Jane’s house were I played a little guitar for them. After a while I recharged my batteries and took a nap there. It was coming up on dinner, family time and eventually bed time for Jane’s daughter. I wasn’t ready to go home, but I decided to excuse myself cause I was in the mood to explore this part of the burbs out side of the Atlanta perimeter. I knew there was a shopping area nearby that I was familiar with when I used to work in the area around Kennesaw GA. Jane gave me directions out of the neighborhood and said we would catch up shortly.

When I got to the shopping area I was looking forward to I remembered there was another AMC movie multiplex with a converted IMAX theater that I hand been to yet. My curiosity got the better of me, I when to check out the show times and scout out the theater. Its good to know my options right? Besides its closer to my girlfriend’s house:-)

Well I caved and bought a ticket to see the opening night 3D IMAX showing of How to Train Your Dragon . My intention was afterwards to then sneak into see Hot Tub Time Machine, which also was opening today. I had an hour to kill so I went to Target. I got a call from Jane who I told my plans too. She seemed surprised, but then not surprised at the same time. I was worried that she might be pissed at me. She seemed cool with the plan of mine of the phone. She said she would text me later.

I got to the theater about 20 minutes before show time to “scout: the theater. I bought my #1 large popcorn and drink combo so I wouldn’t look suspicious walking around. I was impressed with the set up of the theater. It looked much newer than the regular AMC Theater I go to. Even on opening night I noticed that they didn’t use velvet rope on the left or the right side to keep people from moving theater to theater, just in front of the concession stand. Which means theater switching may be easy here too. Oh yeah! I was very curious about the converted IMAX Theater here showing How to Train Your Dragon. This was the only IMAX Theater out of the three in the Atlanta area I hadn’t been to before. Out of the three this was my least favorite. But it was still cool to see this 3D movie there. How to Train Your Dragon was a very entertaining movie. Visually it was awesome too. The movie had heart too, check it out if you can.

I had another hour to kill before Hot Tub Time Machine started. So I went in to see the end of The Book of Eli. During this time I got a text from Jane that she would be joining me for Hot Tub Time Machine, Yay!!!!!. I was excited about this. I asked her to text me the theater number and save me a seat when she sat down. About 20 minutes later I got her text and joined her in the theater. Hot Tub Time Machine was funny as hell. It was fun to enjoy a comedy with Jane for once. It seemed the movies we’ve seen together as of late have been on the serious and or depressing side. Being fans of the 80’s pop culture this movie hit a funny cord for the both of us. Its great that they got 80’s icon John Cusack to star in the film. I’ll be back to this theater I’m sure J So in 5 days I saw 6 movies in the theater. Not too bad. I can beat that.

“We Don’t Have Enough Film For Our Theaters”

Friday March 12th, 2010

Today I decided to get a quick 3-movie marathon in. It was Friday. Usually I avoid my movie marathons on Fridays cause there is more theater staff for the opening night crowds. Which means there is more restrictive red velvet ropes with staff to check your ticket stubs. I also went on this Friday cause I wasn’t gonna get a marathon in next week due to my mini vacation with my girlfriend Jane. We went to Asheville North Carolina for a few days. We had a blast.

The first movie I intended to see was Our Family Wedding starring America Ferrera from the Ugly Betty TV series. I went up to the ticket kiosk and I was told that the10:00 AM showing was cancelled. The reason was there wasn’t enough film canisters. What this meant was: “We Don’t Have Enough Film For Our Theaters”.  This meant I had to cut my marathon down to two movies. I had much to do later so I didn’t want to be in the theater past 4pm.

So I bought a ticket to see Green Zone starring Matt Damon and directed by Paul Greengrass. This is the same duo that worked on two of the current Borne films together. This film was pretty good, but not great. Don’t expect another Bourne type movie. It involves a CIA plot cover-up regarding the invasion of IRAQ. Who I did really like was the performance by Yigal Naor. He plays one of Saddam Hussein’s generals who is on the run. What’s interesting is that he portrayed Saddam Hussein in the mini series “House of Saddam” If you get a chance check him out in that. He was great.

The last movie I saw was the comedy She’s Out of My League.  Its about a nerdy guy named Kirk who gets a chance to date a hot 10 blonde chick. The tag line for this movie is can a 10 date a 5? This movie was rated R for language, not boobage. This movie was very funny. The best part of the movie was the dialog between Kirk and his three other male buddies. This movie hits a cord with just about any one I think. It covers both sides of the sexes. The weirdest part of the film was when Kirk gets help from one of his buddies to partake in a little manscaping, or very personal grooming down in the crotchular area. It was a funny scene. After I saw this scene I had to ask myself, would I ever have one of my closest buddies help me shave my ball sack. The answer to this is fuck no. I do my own manscaping if need be thank you very much.

Tuesdays are my Sabbath

Tuesday March 9th

Tuesdays are my Sabbath

My movie marathon on this day is on Tuesday. I love going to the movies on Mondays or Tuesdays. Tuesdays especially if they are near a Best Buy. Since the dawn of home video, Tuesdays are a special day. This is the day new releases for video and CD’s come out. I’ve been collecting movie videos for a long time now. I started my DVD movie collection in January of 2000. It was then I started to phase out my VHS collection with the exception of some hard to find out of print VHS movies and a few porn tapes. Tuesdays have consistently been my favorite day of the week. In other words Tuesdays are my Sabbath, my day of religion sort of speak.

Since Tuesdays are my Sabbath, Best Buy is my church. Best Buy is my2nd home. I feel very at home there. I’m a proud Best Buy Reward Zone Member. They should pay me to visit them. I don’t even wanna guess how much money I have spent at Best Buy in my life time. My current movie collection sits at 835 total DVD / Blu Ray discs which include movies and TV series. This doesn’t count the multiple discs in some of these collections. I keep a spreadsheet of my DVD movie collection. I update each time I buy a new DVD or delete and entry if I sell one on ebay or give one away.

Today I was very excited when the Blu Ray was released for one of my favorite movies that came out last year, which was The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day . The original The Boondock Saints came out in 1999 and was and is a great cult classic. The sequel in my opinion is just as good if not better. I was stoked to get the sequel on Blu Ray. I see a mini Boondock Saints marathon in my future.

Ok, now onto the actual movie marathon for today. After my “jizz in my pants” visit to Best Buy, I headed to my favorite multiplex for a movie marathon. I was shooting for 3 maybe 4 movies today. The first movie on my list was the horror film The Crazies . In general I’m not a big horror fan. However I do make exceptions sometimes. I enjoyed the previews for this movie. It’s a remake and I always wanted to see the original. Plus I’m a huge fan of the star of this new remake that is Timothy Olyphant. I became a fan of Timothy when I saw Deadwood on HBO. Deadwood was famous for many things especial the resurgence of the words “cock sucker”. The Crazies was fun, but very predictable.

After a long piss and a refill on my large diet coke and popcorn the 2nd movie I saw was Cop Out . Staring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan as New York cop partners. The film was directed by Kevin Smith who had a bit part in Bruce’s film Live Free or Die Hard . Kevin is famous for films like Clerks, Mallrats and Chasing Amy. Critics have ripped this movie. Yes the movie was a little silly, but I thought it was funny and entertaining. It was just what I needed too. The latest string of movies I’ve see have been depressing, serious and emotionally charged, or a mind fuck. This movie was a funny escape. Plus it was rated R for language and violence. I need that too, heh, heh.

The third film I saw was Brooklyn’s Finest . I was back on the depressing, serious and emotionally charged train. Choo Choo! This movie stars Richard Gere, Don Cheadle, Ethan Hawke and Wesley Snipes. All of who were on top of their acting game here. I hope Wesley is on a comeback with this film. This movie is riveting, but very depressing. There is a small glimmer of hope at the end, but not much. The editing and story was great. The director of this movie is Antoine Fuqua. He is becoming one of my favorite directors. His most famous film is Training Day. My favorite of his films so far is Shooter. This director is the very cool, I like his style.

After Brooklyn’s Finest I was considering leaving. But I wasn’t ready to leave the theater just yet. In stead I decided to see the end of Avatar before I left. Since I’m only seeing part of this film I’m not counting it as a whole movie seen, just a partial. I came in on Jake Sully’s Braveheart freedom speech to the rest of his adoptive “Na’vi” clan. I’m glad I caught the end of this movie cause the final battle sequence is becoming on of my favorite movie experiences of all time.

I’ve got a mini vacation planned with Jane next week. So since I have this Friday off. I’m gonna get in another three movie marathon in. I’m looking forward to the vacation with Jane very much. It will be nice to get out of town for a few days. I haven’t been out of town on vacation in a long time. I wonder if there will be a movie theater nearby? :-)

Alice, is it 4:20 yet?

Friday 03-05-10 was date day with my girlfriend Jane Davis (a.k.a. Jen). It was also opening day for the movie Alice in Wonderland . I had a morning shift at work so I was off at 12:30 pm. It was my girlfriend’s idea to see Alice in Wonderland on opening day. The cool kick was that we would see it at the true IMAX Theater, not the converted IMAX Theater that I normally go to. A converted IMAX theater is stiAll better than a regular movie screen, but not as cool as a real IMAX screen.

My girlfriend bought the tickets online for an afternoon show so we could do a dinner later on. Turns out the showtime start for the movie was for 4:20pm. Heh, heh. I can imagine many people may take advantage of the 4:20 pm start time and partake in some kind of pre movie alcohol or druggie fun. For those of you who don’t know 420 is a drug reference to smoking pot, otherwise know as Tea Time.

We got to the mall the IMAX Theater was located in early so we could do some exploring. The mall is located about 45 minutes outside of Atlanta. The first thing I noticed was how much bigger the hair is on the moms the farther from the city you get. The mall felt a lot more “country” than downtown if you know what I mean. I’d been to this IMAX once before when I saw The Dark Knight during its big opening week. I knew the best seats in the house are in the middle about two to three rows from the back. We got there about 30min before show time to get in line early.

We had a little time to make a quick stop in the lobby photo booth where it spits out four black and white photos. They spit out fast nowadays. I remember when you had to wait 10 min and you had to be careful cause the pictures may still be hot and wet. We did the two normal smiley pictures, then one mushy and the obligatory goofy shot. They came out nice. The cool thing was that we each got a copy of the four pictures. Not bad for three bucks. Fun stuff.

My girlfriend got into line first so I could make a quick bathroom stop and get my free popcorn with the coupon I got when we checked in our online printed tickets at the ticket booth. I had to report a messy men’s bathroom to a nearby manager. You know that large bathroom stall for wheelchair access? I like to use those larger stalls cause of the extra room, its not claustrophobic at all. You can stretch out your legs when you’re taking a dump. It’s better lit too. I had to avoid this one cause it looked like someone marked their territory by peeing all over the floor and seat. My guess was that the toilet backed up. The worst part was that it spread outside of the stall cause people had tracked it all over the floor, eww, ugh.

OK I digress, back on track. Its interesting the 3D glasses that are used now. I’ve seen four different types since the recent popularity rise of 3D movies. The material the lenses are made out of remain the same; it’s the frames that change. I guess different companies are getting in the 3D movie money rage now. Competition baby. The ones we had for Alice were yellow framed and the lenses were a little smaller than the ones when I first saw the midnight premiere of Avatar last December. I was excited to see the trailers. When you see a 3D movie you always see trailers for upcoming 3D movies. The trailers shown before Alice in Wonderland were: How to Train Your Dragon , Toy Story 3 and my favorite Tron Legacy . I told my girlfriend after the Tron trailer that I had “movie chub”. That’s my way of saying I can’t wait to see this movie in 3D, and I’m very excited about it. It’s been 28 years since the first one, which I still love.

Alice In Wonderland stars Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, and newcomer Mia Wasikowska . The movie is directed by Tim Burton . Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have done about seven movies together. Is that weird? I’m not sure what to think about that yet. I didn’t have any expectations for this film. I just wanted to see the 3D visual aspect of the film. The movie wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. I wouldn’t recommend it in 2D, but I would in 3D. It’s strange to say that about movies now. Since 3D is the wave of the future, (Thank you Avatar) Its gonna change the way movies are seen and marketed. Its like, “dude, the movie totally sucked, but you should see it cause it looked cool, take some weed with you man:-)”. The costumes and visual effects were pretty cool. Johnny Depp’s character as the Mad Hatter was OK but the other characters by far especially by Mia Wasikowska who played Alice upstaged him. Many of the CG characters were very cool to look at too. The Cheshire cat looked a little more evil than I expected, I had a little problem with that. Alice by far was my favorite character. She rocked the cool outfits especially the hot suit of armor she donned at the end of the film.

So that’s Alice for ya. Next week I’ve already planned my next movie marathon. I’ve got 3 or 4 on my radar to do in one day. There are some movies that have already been out for more than a week that haven’t seen yet. What the fuck is wrong with me? I’ve got to get on the ball man :-)

Spartan Phoenix’s Movie Marathon Man Blog Update

March 6th, 2010

I wanted to give everyone an update on my current year long “experiment” that I call my Movie Marathon Man Blog. For those of you reading this for the first time here is the lowdown.

The idea struck me while I was at work. I love movies, plain and simple. I love movies. Everyone that knows me knows I love movies. What can I do with that? I’m not making money with my pop culture and movie knowledge. Mostly I entertain or annoy people with my movie knowledge. But I have to do something more constructive with it.

So I start my “Movie Marathon Man Manifesto”. I’m going to log in a years worth of my movie marathon knowledge and adventure. I started last February 2nd 2010 and will continue through January 31st or 2011. I will blog about all of my movie marathons and the movies, trailers and people I see during them. Lets cover the subject of and actual movie marathon.

So what is a movie marathon for me? Well my type of movie marathon involves going to a many multiplex movie theater in the morning or as soon as the first movie I want to see starts for the first time of that day. I do this on my day off of work. I go to a 16 to 24-screen movie theater multiplex. I pay for the first movie, and only the first movie. Once my ticket is torn in half, I buy a large diet cola and large popcorn (both of which get free re-fills). I want to support the theater by giving them money for concessions I buy, since they get little money from the actually movie ticket. Then I head to my “first” movie. During the course of the day I then go from movie to movie till I cross all of the movies on my list off, get tired, get sick or get cabin fever and leave the theater.

Some of my blog entries will of course include one-movie visits that might be dates with my girlfriend; one time visits with friends or special midnight showings. For more info and details on my current movie marathon operation please read my past blog posts on the subject. My next blog post will about the just released Alice In Wonderland in 3D IMAX.

So there you go. That’s my world. Stay tuned and enjoy!

My Girlfriend Picks

My Girlfriend Picks

So my girlfriend wanted to pick the movies for my next movie marathon. I was total game. I wanted her to have fun with me on some of my marathons. I hope she wants to do more with me in the future. She picked the movies but left it to my expertise to figure out which order to see the movies in. Since I pay special attention to the movie time lengths and time allotted for the opening commercials and movie trailers. The movies she picked were Shutter Island, Dear John, and Edge of Darkness . This was the order we would see these movies on 02-25-10.

My first thought was how serious and emotional charged each of these movies would probably be. I’d seen Edge of Darkness and she knew this. I was up for seeing it again cause it was a good movie. But the story was pretty heavy. My girlfriend can get very emotional invested in a movie when it hits a serious subject. This is one of the things I love about her cause I can relate. It happens to me too. I left a movie marathon early during the holiday’s last year cause the movie Everybody’s Fine hit to close to home on some painful memories from my past. Also the trailer for that movie came across as a fun family comedy, bullshit, it was depressing. I hate when they doctor up trailers to make you think its something else. Anyways I was pretty sure we weren’t going to get to Edge of Darkness, I was right.

So we started with Shutter Island. I had high hopes cause it’s a Martin Scorsese film which always brings me to the theater. And it stars Scorsese’s adopted son Leonardo DiCaprio . J I knew this movie had a “big twist” at the end. I figured it out a quarter way through. This is not the reason I didn’t like this film. I didn’t like this film cause it pulled the “mind fuck” wanna be trick on you. When you watch enough movies and episodic television there is always the episode with the “mind fuck”. They don’t let you know whats real, crazy creepy people who may or may not be there grace the screen, mind tricks, etc you get the point. It reminds me when I watched my favorite sci-fi shows and there is always the “mind fuck” episodes every year. Anyways I thought Shutter Island was a disappointment. The acting and sets were great. I felt like drowning myself after that movie.

The next movie was Dear John. I didn’t read the book, big surprise. The trailers made it out to be a romantic love story with a happy ending. I wasn’t fooled. To sum it up, you wanna watch a stand up military man get emotionally strung along and fucked by the girl who he thought was his soul mate but then gets with another guy he knew, this movie is for you. This guy wrote letters by hand to her from the Middle East where he was stationed. By hand! Who does that now? Bitch. She could have at least shown some tit or ass in the movie so I would have hated the character less. They tried to give a hint of a happy ending but it failed. I was talking with a co-worker later about the movie, apparently the book ends sadly and depressing. No thank you.

After Dear John I knew my girlfriend had enough of the movie marathon and I suggested we end it before she suggested it. I thought she might have felt bad to mention she wanted out. I was fine leaving at that point anyways. Besides I don’t think she was up for seeing Mel Gibsons daughter get killed on screen in Edge of Darkness. More heavy shit wasn’t our forte at this time. We need to do a comedy movie marathon :-)

Till next time, your movie marathon man. – Spartan Phoenix.

Slacker and Slice

 Slacker & Slice

Ok, so I’ve been a slacker. I haven’t updated my Movie Marthon Blog in a couple of weeks. My slackin’ started with a bout of the flu, then…. well I slacked and put it off. I haven’t been much of a writer and I can’t spell worth a shit. This continuous writing thing has been a tough adjustment. So here’s and update: On Tuesday 02-16-10 I did a 3 movie marathon. The movies I saw were The Wolfman, Sherlock Holmes and Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief . The Wolfman wasn’t half bad. I didn’t have any high expectations so that helped. It was rated R for violence. I wish it was R for naked boobies, no luck. Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief was a fun movie. I wouldn’t mind seeing it again in the theater. Uma Thurman as Medusa was good casting. Sherlock Holmes was great. I hear there doing a sequel already, cant wait. Technically this was the 2nd time I’d seen this movie. However I saw this the first time opening weekend last Christmas 2009. Since this movie marathon blog started this February 2010 I can only count this movie only seen once during my logged time. What I did with the Sherlock Holmes movie I’d done before in the past with some other movies. With Sherlock Holmes I “sliced it”. When I “slice” a movie I see the first part earlier in the movie marathon and then wait till later in the day to see the rest, or eat the other slice sort of speak. I have to do this when the movie start times aren’t scheduled to my liking for back-to-back viewing. So I saw The Wolfman first, then saw the first part of Sherlock Holmes. Then I left during the middle to go see Percy Jackson & The Olympians. After Percy Jackson & The Olympians I saw the rest of Sherlock Holmes in a later showing. By the way, before I forget. I wanted to share one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to movie trailers on the big screen and your TV. I hate when you see preview scenes that don’t make the movie cut you pay to see in the theater. I understand why it’s done. There may be last minute cuts to the movie just prior to its release. Plus they may make it to the DVD release as “cut scenes”. It pisses me of still cause I feel like I’m not getting what I paid for. A good example of this was the movie Valentines Day. Don’t get me wrong I did enjoy this film. I saw this movie with my girlfriend on opening weekend. There must have been two or three scenes in the TV and theater trailers that didn’t make the final cut in the theatrical release. Anyways I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. I’m curious to what other reasons why the moviemakers do this to us.
